for your interest in my activities! Many of my collegues and friends let
me know they would appreciate to learn more about my projects and their
results. The internet proves to be a good tool for this purpose.
As you can see on my website I am a passionate friend of nature. After
nearly 30 years in the administration for nature conservancy, I made
experiences on all levels: ecological research at the university, the
hazardous job of a nature conservancy authority on the district level,
conceptional work at a state authority, and finally the paper job of a
department leader in a state ministry. In this career the air gets thinner and thinner the
higher you climb. I found out that it is one thing to protect nature on
the paper (and this has to be done by someone), and it is a completely
different thing to preserve it efficiently and make the people care. Or,
as the German novelist Erich Kaestner once said,
“There is nothing
good except you do it!”
And as 90 % of success in nature conservation is
due to communication, it is surely very important in this field not only
to do good things but to talk about it. That is the reason for this
homepage.
